ARARAT - If there is one man in town who knows how to throw a party, it's Peter Nicholson, and he will be hoping to entertain when he takes to the floor for the Ararat Football Netball Club's Dancing With Our Stars extravaganza on October 18.
The owner and operator of Grampians Event Hire has teamed up with Jackie Stevens from Ararat Motor Group to once again `put on a show', all in the good name of charity.
The nine couples are all raising money for their nominated charities, and will provide a massive night of entertainment at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre.
Peter and Jackie have chosen the Blue Ribbon Foundation's Ararat Branch as their charity, and along with raising money, have been working feverishly on their routine in an attempt to wow the audience.
Peter, a self-confessed wine and food lover, admits to having no dancing experience whatsoever, although he did stagger across a dance floor once when he was 19.
Regardless, there will be no sour grapes when the couple hit the floor, and with music tastes ranging from Weddings Parties Anything to Cold Chisel, there will be plenty of action on the night.
The last Dancing With Our Stars event was a huge success, along with last year's switch to the microphones for It Just Takes Two and organiser Murray Jensen is hoping for another great night.
