ARARAT - It's that time of year again, and the Ararat Football Netball Club extravaganza of Dancing With Our Stars is back by popular demand!
Saturday October 18 will see a cavalcade of stars descend on the Ararat Performing Arts Centre for a terrific night's entertainment.
This night of nights on the Ararat calendar was first trialled two years ago, and has become a raging success.
Last year 10 couples swapped their dancing shoes for microphones as they conducted It Just Takes Two in front of a massive crowd.
With all participants actively raising money for a selected charity, Dancing With Our Stars is a wonderful initiative.
In 2006 Dancing With Our Stars raised $24,500 for charity, while the following year, a change of format to It Just Takes Two saw $30,000 raised.
The Ararat Advertiser and Stawell Times-News will profile each of the couples in the lead up to the event, first cab off the rank being Bendigo Bank employee Jess Bigmore who will hope she is on the money with her routine.
Jess' dancing experience extends as far as the Rock Eisteddfod while in secondary school, and is a keen netballer.
Jess loves her mum's roasts, and says she like all types of music except for country.
Content socialising with friends, Jess will need to call on every inch of her confidence as she performs in front of a packed Performing Arts Centre.
Jess and her partner Peter Wigg have been practising hard in the lead up to the big event, and will hope to be crowd favourites come October 18.
Organiser Murray Jensen is hoping for another massive success, and anyone wanting further information can contact him.
Tickets will sell fast as the event is widely popular, so get in early and book yourself in for a great night of entertainment.
